Homeschooling doesn’t have to mean doing everything yourself.

Quantum Montessori’s Full-Time Distance Learning Program is designed for families who want the flexibility and personalization of learning from home with professional educators actively involved throughout the student’s educational day.

Students participate Monday–Thursday through a combination of scheduled live, small-group instruction with Quantum Montessori Guides, individualized and independent Montessori work cycles, academic coursework, hands-on learning, projects, research, assessment, feedback, Practical Life, and ongoing academic guidance.

This is our highest level of day-to-day educational support for students learning from home.

We don’t recreate traditional school on a screen.

Students move throughout their learning day between live instruction, independent work, Montessori practice, reading, writing, research, projects, experiments, Practical Life, movement, breaks, and real-world learning, with Guides helping determine what each learner needs next.

Rather than purchasing curriculum and figuring out the entire learning experience yourself, families have an educational team actively helping guide the student’s learning throughout the program.

How the Learning Day Works

Live Instruction

Students meet with Quantum Montessori Guides and educators for scheduled live instruction throughout the academic week.

Live learning may include direct academic lessons, Montessori presentations, guided practice, discussion, collaboration, student presentations, questions and clarification, academic coaching, project work, and feedback.

Our live classes are intentionally interactive.

Students are expected to participate, think, discuss, practice, ask questions, and increasingly take responsibility for their learning.

Montessori Work Cycles

A Full-Time Distance Learning day includes more than scheduled classes.

Students have dedicated time to work independently or with Guide support on appropriately sequenced academic and Montessori work.

Depending on age and learning needs, a work cycle may include mathematics, literacy, writing, research, Montessori materials, project work, independent practice, experiments, Practical Life, or other assigned work.

Individualized Learning

We don’t assume every child in the same grade needs exactly the same work.

Quantum Montessori Guides use student progress, observation, assessment, demonstrated understanding, academic expectations, strengths, interests, and areas requiring additional development to help determine appropriate next steps.

Our guiding question remains: What does this learner need next?

Students within the same grade or class may therefore be working at different levels or receiving different lessons.

Independent Learning

Students also complete meaningful work outside of direct live instruction.

This may include reading, writing, mathematics, research, independent practice, Montessori work, projects, experiments, digital resources, Practical Life, reflection, and portfolio development.

As students mature, we intentionally help them develop greater responsibility for organizing their work and managing their learning.

Monday–Thursday Learning Windows

Families select an available, consistent eight-hour learning window based on grade level, program placement, and current class availability.

7:00 AM–3:00 PM MST

8:00 AM–4:00 PM MST

9:00 AM–5:00 PM MST

10:00 AM–6:00 PM MST

These are full learning windows, not eight continuous hours of live online classes.

Students move between scheduled live instruction, independent Montessori work cycles, coursework, reading, writing, projects, research, hands-on experiences, Practical Life, lunch, breaks, movement, assessment, and other assigned work throughout the day. This structure matches the current Program Guide.

Learning windows and class schedules are subject to availability by grade level and program placement.

Current program materials specifically provide for class and schedule availability confirmation when live instruction is selected.

Academic planning incorporates recognized educational standards while allowing Quantum Montessori Guides to respond to the actual learner rather than requiring every student to complete identical work at an identical pace.

Students may use Montessori materials, books, thoughtfully selected curriculum, digital resources, research, discussions, projects, experiments, hands-on work, and independent practice.

Standards guide the destination. The learner helps shape the path.

Family + Guide Partnership

The Quantum Montessori Guide’s Role

Quantum Montessori Guides and educators take an active instructional role.

They may:

• Assess understanding
• Communicate with families
• Support independent work
• Help students develop responsibility and organization

The Family’s Role

Learning takes place at home, so families remain an important part of the educational partnership.

Parents provide the home learning environment, required books and physical materials, appropriate routines, attendance support, access to technology, and age-appropriate assistance.

Families also help ensure students are available during their assigned learning window and complete the independent responsibilities associated with the program.

The amount of direct parent involvement naturally varies according to the student’s age, maturity, learning needs, and independence.

Parents are not expected to recreate a classroom or personally teach every lesson.

Quantum Montessori takes a substantially more active day-to-day educational role in Full-Time Distance Learning than it does in the Independent Homeschool Program.

Full-Time Distance Learning or Hybrid Homeschool?

These are two different Quantum Montessori programs.

1. Hybrid Homeschool

You homeschool. We teach the classes you choose.

Part-Time Hybrid allows families to select 1–3 classes.

Full-Time Hybrid includes five core live classes plus one optional elective within a shorter Hybrid instructional schedule.

Families remain responsible for the student’s homeschool program outside the instruction and coursework provided through the selected Quantum Montessori classes.

2. Full-Time Distance Learning

A comprehensive learning day from home.

Full-Time Distance Learning provides an eight-hour Monday–Thursday learning window combining live instruction, Montessori work cycles, independent coursework, projects, research, hands-on learning, Practical Life, assessment, academic support, portfolio development, breaks, movement, and other components of a complete learning day.

It is designed for families who want Quantum Montessori taking its most comprehensive role in the student’s day-to-day educational program.

Your current Program Guide specifically distinguishes Full-Time Hybrid from Full-Time Distance Learning in this way.

Designed for Real Family Life

A complete educational program does not require a child to stare at a screen for eight hours.

Live classes create consistency and connection.

Montessori work cycles develop concentration.

Independent work develops responsibility.

Individualized planning provides direction.

Projects and hands-on learning make academics meaningful.

Practical Life connects learning to everyday life.

Movement and breaks are part of the learning day.

And learning from home still leaves room for family life, interests, creativity, and the rhythms of childhood.

Books, Materials & Technology

Families provide an appropriate computer or device, reliable internet access, and a suitable home learning environment.

Depending on grade level and coursework, families may also need to purchase required books, Montessori materials, manipulatives, science materials, art supplies, consumable workbooks, or other physical resources.

Quantum Montessori will communicate required materials as part of enrollment and ongoing program planning.

Required physical materials are not assumed to be included in Family Investment unless specifically stated.

Family Investment

Elementary | Grades K–5

$2,100/month

Middle School | Grades 6–8

$2,600/month

High School | Grades 9–12

$3,100/month

Family Investment includes enrollment in the Full-Time Distance Learning Program, including the applicable live instruction, individualized and independent coursework, academic planning, Canvas access, learning resources provided digitally by Quantum Montessori, Montessori Guide support, academic monitoring, assessment and feedback, portfolio development, and participation in the Quantum Montessori learning community.

Full-Time Distance Learning is a full-time program. Families wanting a shorter live instructional schedule or individual classes should explore the Hybrid Homeschool Program.

Administration Fee & Enrollment

A non-refundable Administration Fee equal to one month of the student’s applicable Family Investment is required at initial enrollment and annually thereafter.

Therefore, the applicable Administration Fee is:

Elementary | Grades K–5 — $2,100

Middle School | Grades 6–8 — $2,600

High School | Grades 9–12 — $3,100

The Administration Fee is separate from the student’s Family Investment and is not applied toward the first month, final month, or another Family Investment payment.

The Administration Fee supports enrollment and academic setup, which may include:

• Family onboarding
• Student account creation
• Canvas setup
• Academic record setup
• Program placement
• Learning-window and schedule coordination
• Initial academic planning
• Curriculum preparation
• Initial family communication
• Orientation and preparation for the student’s entry into the program

The current Family Investment materials establish that the Administration Fee equals one month of applicable Family Investment and is required at enrollment and annually thereafter.

Family Investment Due at Enrollment

Families selecting the monthly payment arrangement pay:

Administration Fee + First Month’s Family Investment + Final Month’s Family Investment

The final-month payment is held and applied to the student’s final month of the applicable enrollment commitment.

Families selecting a quarterly, semester, or annual payment arrangement do not make a separate final-month payment.

Monthly Family Investment payments are due on the 1st of each month and are considered late after the 5th. Current enrollment materials specify a $30 late fee and $35 returned-payment fee.

Six-Month Enrollment Commitment + Renewal

Full-Time Distance Learning begins with an initial six-month enrollment commitment.

After the initial six-month term, enrollment continues in successive three-month renewal terms unless timely written withdrawal notice is provided according to the Family Enrollment Agreement.

Family Investment represents the family’s financial commitment for the applicable enrollment term.

Monthly payments are a payment arrangement for that commitment and do not create month-to-month enrollment.

Written withdrawal notice must be provided according to the deadline in the Family Enrollment Agreement before the next renewal term to prevent that renewal.

Timely withdrawal prevents the next renewal but does not shorten an active enrollment term or eliminate Family Investment due for that active term.

The complete Family Enrollment Agreement governs enrollment, payment obligations, renewals, withdrawal, and other applicable terms.

Arizona ESA & Third-Party Funding

Arizona ESA is accepted.

Eligible Arizona families may use Empowerment Scholarship Account funds toward qualifying Quantum Montessori educational services.

Families are responsible for following current ESA purchasing and reimbursement requirements applicable to their account and for ensuring all Quantum Montessori balances are paid according to the applicable enrollment terms.

Families using ESA funds, scholarships, grants, vouchers, reimbursements, or other third-party funding remain responsible for ensuring Quantum Montessori receives the full applicable Family Investment and fees by the required due dates regardless of reimbursement schedules, delays, denials, funding decisions, or changes in eligibility.

Academic Work & Student Records

Students may complete assignments, assessments, projects, presentations, written work, research, experiments, portfolio work, and other demonstrations of learning as part of Full-Time Distance Learning.

Quantum Montessori maintains academic records related to the student’s participation in the program, including applicable coursework, assessments, grades, progress information, and portfolio records.

Families receive information about academic expectations, record keeping, and grade-level requirements as applicable to their student’s program.

High School, Diploma & Accreditation

Quantum Montessori maintains its own high school program requirements and may issue a Quantum Montessori diploma to eligible students who successfully complete the applicable Quantum Montessori graduation requirements.

High school programming may include required core coursework, electives, individualized academic planning, Montessori secondary experiences, assessments, portfolio development, and other graduation requirements.

Quantum Montessori is currently pursuing independent institutional accreditation. Accreditation is not currently represented as complete or guaranteed.

A Quantum Montessori diploma should therefore not be represented as an independently accredited diploma unless and until applicable accreditation has been completed.

Accredited & Dual-Enrollment Pathways

Families seeking an accredited option may contact Quantum Montessori to discuss available partner-program or dual-enrollment opportunities, when appropriate for the student.

These opportunities are separate from Quantum Montessori’s own institutional accreditation process and may involve separate eligibility requirements, applications, coursework, schedules, Family Investment, tuition, fees, or policies.

Participation in an accredited partner program does not mean Quantum Montessori itself is currently accredited.

College Coursework | Grades 11–12

Eligible and academically prepared 11th- and 12th-grade students may explore college coursework or dual-enrollment opportunities as part of an individualized high school pathway.

College and dual-enrollment courses are subject to the requirements, admission standards, availability, tuition or fees, and policies of the participating institution.

Families interested in an accredited pathway or college coursework should contact Quantum Montessori before enrollment so available options can be discussed.

Personalized education starts with understanding the learner.

Before beginning, we gather information about your child’s educational history, current academic needs, strengths, areas of concern, learning habits, interests, and your family’s educational goals.

This helps us begin building an educational experience around the actual learner in front of us, not simply the grade printed beside their name.

Families can expect class and learning-window availability confirmation, program-specific enrollment information, Family Investment details, Canvas onboarding, and communication regarding books, materials, curriculum resources, and next steps.

Before Enrolling

Please contact Quantum Montessori before enrolling if your student’s program placement and learning-window availability have not already been confirmed.

Before completing enrollment, families should understand:

• That eight hours does not mean eight continuous hours of live online classes
• The student’s applicable Family Investment
• The non-refundable Administration Fee
• The initial six-month enrollment commitment
