Welcome to Quantum Montessori’s Virtual Learning Pod, where Montessori principles and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) come together to create a nurturing educational experience tailored to the unique needs of each family. Our online learning pod is designed for students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, offering more than just a traditional classroom—this is a personalized, whole-child approach to learning that meets children where they are and helps them thrive.

What We Offer:

In this pod, your child will benefit from:

  • Montessori Guidance & Emotional Intelligence Development: Through our proven Montessori approach, students engage in hands-on activities that promote creativity, independence, and critical thinking. Our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum encourages empathy, self-awareness, and effective communication.
  • Evidence-Based Literacy Support: To strengthen literacy skills, we incorporate Rhyme & Reason’s evidence-based methods, ensuring that each student’s reading, writing, and communication abilities are nurtured and developed.
  • Weekly Private Tutoring: Personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions help reinforce learning and address individual needs.
  • STEAM Enrichment Classes: Our program includes six 1-hour STEAM classes each week, featuring Yoga, Literacy, Spanish, MindMasters, and Art. These classes are designed to inspire curiosity and creativity, enhancing your child’s learning journey.

This isn’t your typical online class. Our Quantum Montessori Learning Pods are dynamic, small-group settings where educators work closely with families to tailor the learning experience based on each child’s needs. Families enjoy flexibility in scheduling, and classes are designed to fit into your busy life while providing high-quality, Montessori-based education that you can trust.

Why Choose Us?

  • Whole-Child Education: We focus on nurturing both academic and emotional growth, helping children develop the skills they need to succeed not just in school, but in life.
  • Community Focus: Our learning pods are built around the idea of community. Students learn to collaborate, solve problems, and support each other in a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Holistic Learning: In addition to core subjects, we emphasize SEL and life skills, teaching your child about diversity, inclusion, and conflict resolution.

Our Approach

Quantum Montessori’s learning approach combines Montessori principles with modern educational practices to create a personalized and engaging learning experience. Here’s how it works:

  1. Initial Assessments: Each student begins with a period of assessments, which lasts about two weeks. These assessments include Montessori-style evaluations and traditional tests to gauge each student’s current skills and knowledge.
  2. Customized Learning Plan: Based on the results from the assessments, a personalized learning plan is created for each student. This plan addresses individual needs and interests, ensuring a tailored educational experience.
  3. Focused Curriculum: From week three onwards, the curriculum is customized and concentrates on the five core Montessori areas:
    • Practical Life: Activities that teach everyday skills and foster independence.
    • Sensorial: Exercises that enhance sensory perception and cognitive development.
    • Language: Development of reading, writing, and communication skills.
    • Mathematics: Hands-on activities to build a strong foundation in mathematical concepts.
    • Science and Culture: Exploration of the natural world and understanding of diverse cultures.
  4. STEAM Enrichments: Access to a wide variety of STEAM enrichment courses to support the diverse needs of your student and ignite their curiosity. This means students can enjoy engaging and fun LIVE STEAM classes each week with their classmates, all led by a team of exceptional educators! These classes will continue throughout the school year running concurrently with our Montessori program. Montessori Guides & Success Coaches collaborate closely with our STEAM Enrichment educators to ensure a seamless and enriching educational experience for every student. Classes are subject to change based on the needs and interests of our families. We are currently offering the following classes included in our Montessori program:
    • Yoga & Mindfulness
    • Life Skills (Finance-focused)
    • Creative Expression (Art)
    • MasterMinds (Critical Thinking, Brain Games, Problem Solving)
    • Spanish Immersion (twice weekly)

This approach ensures that education is not only personalized but also comprehensive, covering all essential areas of development in a Montessori framework. Find our more about our Elementary program: Elementary Curriculum

Important Information for New Students:
All new students will begin classes up to 30 days after enrollment. The initial period will serve as a period of assessment, during which our Montessori Guides and Success Coaches will evaluate each student’s current academic standing, learning preferences, and personal interests. This assessment period helps us create a personalized learning plan tailored to each student’s needs and goals. During this time, students will also participate in introductory lessons, SEL activities, and become familiar with the online learning environment.

This approach ensures a smooth transition into the program and allows us to provide the most supportive and enriching learning experience possible.

Each learning pod requires a minimum of 3 students enrolled to proceed with our group Montessori instruction. This ensures that your child benefits from collaborative learning and receives the appropriate attention from their guide. Maintaining a minimum number of students is essential to preserving the interactive, dynamic experience that is central to the Montessori approach.

If a learning pod has only 1 or 2 students enrolled, we will transition from group instruction to a plan that includes 5 one-on-one guidance sessions per week with the Montessori guide. This individualized, private educational approach is fully customized and tailored to meet the specific needs of each learner, offering flexibility in scheduling. Both options include personalized learning plans, ensuring that your child’s education remains focused on their unique goals and abilities.

All students will continue to have access to group Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and STEAM enrichment classes. The curriculum, resources, and support will remain consistent, ensuring the high-quality educational experience that Quantum Montessori is known for.
