Integrated Core Curriculum

  1. Holistic Education & Core Subjects:

    • STEAM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) through Quantum Montessori’s inquiry-based learning approach and ASU Prep’s structured curriculum. Students engage in hands-on activities that promote critical thinking and creativity.
    • Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I) and Science (Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science) focus on building a strong foundation in these essential subjects, with Quantum Montessori offering opportunities for experiential learning and exploration.
    • Humanities (History, Geography, Sociology) are integrated with Social Studies (U.S. History, World History) to promote an understanding of historical contexts and the interconnectedness of global cultures.
    • English Language Arts (Reading, Writing, Literature) emphasize communication, critical analysis, and creative expression, encouraging students to explore their voice and refine their skills.
  2. Personalized Pathways & Electives:

    • Access to ASU Prep’s elective courses, allowing students to explore interests like Digital Arts, Coding, Engineering, and Foreign Languages. These courses complement the Montessori curriculum, providing a well-rounded educational experience.
    • Personalized Learning Plans: Each student’s education is tailored to their interests, needs, and abilities, blending the flexibility of Montessori with the academic rigor of ASU Prep Global. This encourages independence and self-directed learning, supported by guides who mentor students through their educational journey.
  3. Montessori Principles & Practical Life Skills:

    • Practical Life Skills: Students develop essential skills such as organization, time management, and problem-solving, which are critical for success both inside and outside the classroom.
    • Service Learning Projects: Students participate in projects that connect them to their communities, helping them understand the importance of contributing to society while applying their learning in meaningful ways.
    • Entrepreneurship and Environmental Studies are key components of the middle school program, giving students opportunities to explore real-world applications of their studies and develop leadership and collaborative skills.
  4. Social-Emotional Learning (SEL):

    • Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is embedded in the curriculum, teaching students self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and conflict resolution. This is supported by Quantum Montessori’s Floating Hearts Program, which emphasizes emotional intelligence and relationship-building.
    • Advisory Groups: Weekly sessions provide students with the opportunity to reflect on their growth, set personal goals, and participate in discussions about navigating the challenges of adolescence.
  5. Project-Based Learning & Collaboration:

    • Quantum Montessori and ASU Prep both focus on Project-Based Learning, where students work on interdisciplinary projects that allow them to research, collaborate, and present their findings. This hands-on approach deepens understanding and encourages students to take ownership of their learning.
    • Collaborative Learning: Students work together in small groups to solve problems, engage in discussions, and create presentations, which builds teamwork and communication skills.
  6. College Readiness Pathways:

    • While middle school students are not yet eligible for dual enrollment, they are introduced to pre-college coursework and career exploration through ASU Prep’s innovative programs. This foundation ensures that they are well-prepared for the challenges of high school and beyond.
  7. Flexible, Online Learning:

    • Quantum Montessori and ASU Prep offer a flexible, online learning environment that allows middle school students to progress at their own pace while ensuring academic rigor. With year-round enrollment options, students can join classes without waiting for traditional school cycles.

This assessment period helps us create a personalized learning plan tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
