Montessori in the Adolescent Age Group
Quantum Montessori’s online learning pods align with the principles outlined by the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector (NCMPS) to provide a comprehensive learning experience for adolescents. According to NCMPS, Montessori education for adolescents emphasizes the development of independence, critical thinking, and social responsibility. The curriculum is designed to meet the unique developmental needs of adolescents by fostering intellectual exploration, emotional growth, and practical life skills.
Our approach for adolescents includes project-based learning, opportunities for community involvement, and personalized academic guidance, helping students connect their education to real-world applications. Quantum Montessori’s program reflects these principles by offering flexible, student-centered learning pods that focus on personal development, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving. Our part-day program supports homeschool and school-from-home families, providing both structure and flexibility to meet their diverse educational needs.
High School Diploma and Graduation Pathway
- Students earn a Quantum Montessori high school diploma upon successful fulfillment of academic requirements.
- The final two years of high school must be completed with Quantum Montessori, or students may enroll in our dual enrollment program to fast-track graduation by earning both high school and college credits through ASU Prep Global.
Learning Pod Requirements
- Each learning pod requires a minimum of 3 students enrolled to proceed with group Montessori instruction. This ensures that students benefit from collaborative learning and receive the appropriate attention from their guide.
- If a learning pod has only 1 or 2 students, we will transition to a plan that includes 5 one-on-one guidance sessions per week with the Montessori guide. This individualized approach is fully customized to meet the specific needs of each learner, offering flexibility in scheduling.
- All students, regardless of pod size, will continue to have access to group Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and STEAM enrichment classes.
