Quantum Montessori’s Independent Homeschool Program is designed for families who want to remain their child’s primary educators while receiving professional support with one of the most time-consuming parts of homeschooling: determining what to teach, what comes next, and how to organize it all.

We use thoughtfully selected curriculum and academic resources to develop individualized Montessori-guided work plans and ongoing curriculum sequencing for your student.

Our educational team organizes the learning sequence, builds the student’s work in Canvas, and provides detailed instructions for the assignments included in the plan.

Parents implement the program at home, determine how the work fits into their family’s homeschool rhythm, and choose which completed work to submit for the student’s academic portfolio.

You remain the primary educator. We help build the educational roadmap.

These are individualized educational plans, not generic grade-level schedules, automated checklists, or downloadable curriculum guides.

That individualized planning model is central to the current Independent Homeschool program.

How Independent Homeschool Works

1. We Plan & Sequence

Quantum Montessori handles the behind-the-scenes academic planning.

Using the student’s educational information, current work, academic needs, demonstrated progress, readiness, and curriculum sequence, our team determines what should be introduced, practiced, continued, reviewed, or explored next.

We then organize that learning into the student’s individualized work plan in Canvas.

Depending on the assignment, families may receive:

• The curriculum, book, or resource to use
• Specific lessons, chapters, pages, or activities
• Detailed assignment instructions
• Suggested steps for completing the work
• Required or recommended materials
• Supporting resources
• Projects or hands-on extensions
• Guidance for demonstrating learning
• Portfolio submission options

You don’t have to spend hours piecing together multiple curricula or trying to determine the appropriate academic sequence.

We organize the roadmap so you can focus on implementing it.

2. You Teach & Implement

Independent Homeschool is a parent-directed homeschool program.

The parent or Home Guide remains responsible for the student’s day-to-day education, including providing instruction, supporting completion of the work, maintaining the home learning environment, and implementing the educational plan.

Your family retains flexibility over:

• Your homeschool days and hours
• Your daily and weekly rhythm
• When assignments are completed
• How lessons are presented or reinforced
• How quickly your student progresses through assigned work
• How learning is incorporated into family life
• Which optional activities or extensions you complete
• Which completed work you submit to Quantum Montessori

The work plan provides professional structure and direction without taking away the flexibility that makes homeschooling valuable.

3. We Continue Building the Path

Your child’s educational plan isn’t created once and forgotten.

Quantum Montessori continues curriculum sequencing and individualized planning as your student progresses.

The work a student receives may evolve based on curriculum progression, completed work, information shared by the parent, submitted portfolio evidence, observed needs when applicable, and other educational information available to our team.

Some assignments may be completed quickly, while literature studies, projects, research, science investigations, or other learning sequences may extend over longer periods.

Our guiding question remains: What does this learner need next?

Detailed Assignment Guidance in Canvas

A work plan should tell you more than simply:

“Do math.”

Your student’s work is organized through our Canvas Learning Management System, where assignments include the information families need to understand and implement the work.

Depending on the assignment, this may include written directions, curriculum references, page numbers, learning resources, suggested materials, implementation guidance, project instructions, and portfolio submission options.

This gives families the organization and sequencing of a professionally planned academic program while preserving the freedom to implement that program within their own homeschool.

What Your Student May Study

Individualized work plans may include learning across the major academic subject areas appropriate to the learner.

Mathematics

Concept development, computation, problem solving, mathematical reasoning, practice, and application.

English Language Arts

Reading, literature, writing, vocabulary, grammar, research, discussion, and communication.

Science

Scientific concepts, observation, research, experiments, hands-on investigations, and projects.

Social Studies

History, geography, civics, culture, economics, research, and historical understanding.

Health & Wellness

Age-appropriate learning related to physical health, wellness, personal development, and healthy living.

Students may also receive work involving Practical Life, STEAM, independent reading, research, projects, creative work, electives, enrichment, and other developmentally appropriate areas.

The exact educational plan varies according to the student.

Independent Homeschool combines the freedom of home education with thoughtful academic organization.

Our approach is rooted in Montessori principles that encourage:

Academic planning is informed by recognized educational standards and thoughtfully selected curriculum while leaving room for individual readiness and development.

We don’t believe every child of the same age must complete identical work at an identical pace.

Standards help guide the destination. The individual learner helps shape the path.

Curriculum, Books & Materials

Independent Homeschool students benefit from the same core curriculum framework and thoughtfully selected educational resources that support Quantum Montessori’s other learning programs.

Quantum Montessori sequences appropriate curriculum and resources within the student’s individualized educational plan.

Families Provide Physical Learning Materials

Unless specifically stated otherwise, books and physical learning materials are not included in the monthly Family Investment.

Families are responsible for purchasing or obtaining materials identified for their student’s program, which may include:

• Curriculum books and workbooks
• Literature selections
• Montessori materials
• Manipulatives
• Science materials
• Art supplies
• Practical Life materials
• General school supplies
• Other physical resources identified in the student’s work plan

Families receive guidance regarding materials needed to implement assigned work.

Your Student’s Academic Portfolio

Independent Homeschool gives families flexibility over which completed work they submit to Quantum Montessori for the student’s academic portfolio.

Portfolio submissions may include:

• Written assignments
• Writing samples
• Projects
• Research
• Assessments
• Photographs of hands-on work
• Science investigations
• Presentations
• Practical Life experiences
• Other evidence of learning

Parents determine what they would like to submit.

Quantum Montessori organizes submitted work as part of the student’s ongoing academic portfolio.

Because this is a parent-directed homeschool program, Quantum Montessori’s portfolio and records can only reflect the work and evidence of learning that families choose to provide.

Families remain responsible for maintaining any homeschool records required by their state or jurisdiction.

Parent Meetings & Guidance

Independent doesn’t mean unsupported.

Parent planning or progress meetings may be offered or required when additional conversation would benefit the student’s educational plan.

Meetings are up to 60 minutes and may address:

• Curriculum implementation
• Work-plan questions
• Pacing
• Student progress
• Areas of concern
• Learning needs
• Work-plan adjustments
• Student readiness
• Portfolio submissions
• Next steps

Meeting frequency is determined by student need and program requirements.

Parents may also receive educational guidance related to the student’s work plan and curriculum as questions arise.

What Independent Homeschool Does Not Include

Independent Homeschool does not include regularly scheduled live student classes or ongoing direct instruction from Quantum Montessori Guides.

Parents remain responsible for teaching and implementing the student’s educational program.

Families seeking live instruction from Quantum Montessori educators should explore our Hybrid Homeschool Program.

Families seeking Quantum Montessori’s most comprehensive level of day-to-day educational involvement should explore our Full-Time Distance Learning Program.

Private tutoring or targeted academic support may also be available separately when a student needs additional direct instruction.

Which Quantum Montessori Program Is Right for You?

1. Independent Homeschool

You teach. We help you plan.

Quantum Montessori provides individualized work-plan development, curriculum sequencing, Canvas organization, detailed assignment guidance, portfolio organization, and parent educational support.

The parent provides primary instruction and implements the educational program at home.

Best for families who want professional educational planning while maintaining control over their homeschool schedule and instruction.

2. Hybrid Homeschool

You homeschool. We teach the classes you choose.

Quantum Montessori educators provide scheduled live, small-group instruction and associated coursework for the student’s enrolled classes.

Families may choose Part-Time Hybrid with 1–3 classes or Full-Time Hybrid with five core classes plus an optional elective.

Best for families who want Quantum Montessori directly teaching selected subjects while maintaining the flexibility of homeschooling.

3. Full-Time Distance Learning

A comprehensive learning day from home.

Quantum Montessori takes its most comprehensive role in the student’s day-to-day educational program through an eight-hour Monday–Thursday learning window combining live instruction, Montessori work cycles, independent coursework, projects, research, Practical Life, assessment, portfolio development, and academic support.

Best for families seeking a substantially more comprehensive school-from-home experience.

Family Investment

Early Childhood/Elementary | PK–5

$750/month

Middle School | Grades 6–8

$850/month

High School | Grades 9–12

$950/month

Your Family Investment includes individualized work-plan development, ongoing curriculum sequencing, academic planning, detailed Canvas assignment instructions, Learning Management System access, portfolio organization, parent educational guidance, and parent planning or progress meetings when offered or required.

Books, curriculum materials, Montessori materials, manipulatives, science supplies, art supplies, and other physical learning materials are purchased separately by the family unless specifically stated otherwise.

3-Month Initial Commitment • Successive 3-Month Renewal Terms

Administration Fee & Enrollment

A non-refundable Administration Fee equal to one month of the student’s applicable Family Investment is required at initial enrollment and annually thereafter.

The applicable Administration Fee is therefore:

Early Childhood/Elementary | PK–5 — $750

Middle School | Grades 6–8 — $850

High School | Grades 9–12 — $950

The Administration Fee is separate from Family Investment and is not applied toward the student’s first, final, or other Family Investment payments.

The Administration Fee supports the significant preparation involved in establishing and maintaining an individualized educational program, which may include:

• Family onboarding
• Student account setup
• Canvas setup
• Academic record and portfolio setup
• Review of available educational information
• Initial curriculum sequencing
• Academic planning
• Preparation of the student’s individualized educational plan
• Initial family communication and program onboarding

The current listing already correctly ties the fee to one month of applicable Family Investment; the terminology should simply be standardized to Administration Fee.

Family Investment Due at Enrollment

Families selecting the monthly payment arrangement pay:

Administration Fee + First Month’s Family Investment + Final Month’s Family Investment

The final-month payment is held and applied to the student’s final month of the applicable enrollment commitment.

It is not an additional month of Family Investment.

Families selecting a quarterly, semester, or annual payment arrangement do not make a separate final-month payment.

Monthly Family Investment payments are due on the 1st of each month and are considered late after the applicable grace period stated in the Family Enrollment Agreement.

Initial Three-Month Enrollment Commitment

Independent Homeschool begins with an initial three-month enrollment commitment.

This period allows Quantum Montessori and the family to establish the student’s educational sequence, begin implementing individualized work plans, develop a consistent homeschool rhythm, gather submitted portfolio evidence, and make appropriate adjustments as the student progresses.

Monthly billing is a payment arrangement for the applicable enrollment commitment.

Independent Homeschool is not a month-to-month service.

Successive Three-Month Renewals

Following the initial three-month commitment, enrollment automatically renews for successive three-month terms unless timely written withdrawal notice is provided according to the Family Enrollment Agreement.

Families who do not wish to continue into the next renewal term must provide written withdrawal notice by the applicable deadline established in their Enrollment Agreement.

Timely withdrawal prevents the next renewal but does not shorten an active enrollment term or eliminate Family Investment due for that active term.

Enrollment reserves ongoing academic planning capacity for the student, including curriculum sequencing, work-plan development, Canvas organization, portfolio support, and parent educational support.

The complete Family Enrollment Agreement governs enrollment, renewal, withdrawal, payment obligations, and other applicable terms.

Homeschool Responsibility

Independent Homeschool is a parent-directed homeschool educational support program.

The parent remains the student’s primary educator and is responsible for the family’s compliance with applicable homeschool requirements in their state or jurisdiction.

Quantum Montessori provides educational planning, curriculum sequencing, individualized work plans, resources, Canvas organization, portfolio support, and educational guidance.

The program should not be interpreted as Quantum Montessori assuming responsibility for educational activity or records that take place independently at home and are not provided to Quantum Montessori.

Arizona ESA & Third-Party Funding

Arizona ESA is accepted.

Eligible Arizona families may use Empowerment Scholarship Account funds toward qualifying Quantum Montessori educational services.

Families remain responsible for following current ESA purchasing and reimbursement requirements applicable to their accounts and ensuring Quantum Montessori receives payment according to the applicable enrollment terms.

Families using ESA funds, scholarships, grants, vouchers, reimbursements, or other third-party funding remain responsible for all Family Investment amounts and applicable fees regardless of reimbursement delays, denials, funding decisions, or changes in eligibility.

Before Your Child Begins

Personalized education starts with understanding the learner.

Before beginning, Quantum Montessori gathers information about the student’s educational history, current academic needs, strengths, areas of concern, learning habits, interests, and the family’s educational goals.

That information helps us begin developing an educational pathway around the actual learner in front of us, not simply the grade printed beside their name.

Families then receive Canvas and program onboarding, information regarding books and materials, and the next steps for beginning the student’s individualized homeschool plan.
